Gabrielism: A Philosophy
Gabrielism is a philosophy based
on the idea that there is no greater being, but there are millions of unknowns.
The fact that those objects or events are unknown makes them scary. Because of
that, people create greater or higher beings. The purpose of these higher
beings, or gods, is to explain the chaos or disorder in the world, universe, and
so on so on. Now, the point of Gabrielism is for people to understand that
there are no greater beings, and you can call them whatever you like, but
regardless, it is just a force of disorder that people call god. People fear
this disorder, and pray to it for miracles, but in reality, it causes nothing
but harm.
Although Gabrielists prefer to not
be considered religiously affiliated, and to be considered affiliates of a
philosophy. Gabrielism may be confused for agnosticism, but it is not that at
all. Gabrielism, like agnosticism is based on the fact that we don’t know
anything. And that is true, no one knows anything. However, Gabrielism differs
because it is a philosophy which people live under, a set of guidelines that
enforce a more enjoyable society, and make their lives at least somewhat
enjoyable and satisfying.
Although the above mentioned
statements are true of Gabrielism, there are a few ‘laws’ and beliefs that all
Gabrielists have.
Commandments of Gabrielism:
Don’t be a dick:
People are dicks, but don’t be
like other people. The point of life according to Gabrielism is to make the
world more livable. Therefore, being nice to others, regardless of how they
treat you benefits society.
All people are assholes, and
regardless of the universal Gabrielist belief that all people are assholes,
they should not be treated as such.
Don’t disrespect the planet:
Out of all of the billions and
trillions of planets, asteroids, dwarf planets, stars and others out there,
only a select few areas are capable of sustaining life. Of those, only 1,
Earth, contains life. Our planet can kill us in a matter of seconds, with the
ocean being capable of anything it wills. Because of this, I must ask, why do
we treat our planet like absolute scum? NO LITTERING, NO UNNECCESSARY POLUTION,
NO HUNTING. Enjoy the beautiful planet, not before it is gone, but before it
rids itself of worthless Humans.
Be respectful to others
Treat other Gabrielists as if they
were family
Although you hate life, live it
Giving up shows weakness, and
Gabrielists are NOT weak. We are strong,
and can change the world if we put the work in it.
DO NOT be lazy
Lazy people are useless people
Procrastination is an exception,
but don’t waste your time
Don’t trust people, you’re better
off alone.
Only you can help prevent forest
fires.
When you fall, no one is there to
help pick you up but yourself.
You don’t need a partner or any
one’s love to be happy.
Disclaimer: don’t be a loner, just
don’t trust anyone with your life.
Don’t judge anyone
Do not be ashamed of people,
SPECIFICALLY YOUR PARENTS
Your parents brought you into this
world, regardless if it was in bad terms, or good terms.
Your parents sacrifice absolutely
everything in order to raise you. So even if your parents are dicks, thank
them.
Make time
Make time for ALL of your friends
Make time for ALL of your family
Make time for ALL of the important
people in your life
Make time for ALL of the important
tasks
Make time for yourself
(Commandments
shall be added as needed/requested)
I get messages in my hypnogogic state in the mornings right before I wake up.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time i have no clue what they mean, but I right them down and then Google them later on.
Well, this morning I got the word "Gabrielism".
I didnt think it really was going to be a 'thing' as often when I google what I got, it still doesnt give the explanation, and I was convinced this was one of those messages.
Well, you proved me wrong Gabriel!
I always thought my messages came from a greater being... but well... after reading your page, I am utterly confused because why would a greater being lead me to a site that says that it does not exist!
